Membership
a) The Mayor of the City of Muncie shall appoint four (4) members. b) The City Council of Muncie shall appoint one (1) member. c) The members appointed by the Mayor and the City Council shall be residents of the City of Muncie. d) The Board of Commissioners shall appoint (3) members. e) The Delaware County Council shall appoint one (1) member. f) The members appointed by the Board of Commissioners and the Delaware County Council shall be residents of the unincorporated area of Delaware County. g) No currently elected official may serve on the Reorganization Committee. h) Not more than two (2) of the members appointed by either the Mayor of the City of Muncie or Board of Commissioners may be members of the same political party. i) Not more than a simple majority of the members appointed may be members of the same polical party. j) The members of a reorganization committee serve at the pleasure of the appointing authority. k) The members of a reorganization committee serve without compensation. l) The members, however, are entitled to reimbursement from the reorganizing political subdivisions for the necessary expenses incurred in the performance of their duties as setforth herein. m) Members of the Reorganiztion Committee shall be subject to any and all conflict of interest statutes that govern elected officials in Indiana.
